OSI Women's Health physical therapists work very closely with those at the other practices within our Therapy Partners network - Saunders Therapy, PTOSI, Minnesota Sport & Spine Rehab, Creekside Physical Therapy, and Wenger Physical Therapy. These physical therapists have extensive training in joint and muscle function. Additionally, they all have advanced training in the anatomy and role of the muscles and structures in and around the pelvis.
What treatment can you expect?
Your therapist will:
Provide a thorough evaluation including complete history of the problem, postural assessment, muscle testing, and may include a brief pelvic exam.
Develop a customized treatment program to include:
Muscle re-education for postural correction, relaxation, and/or strength training.
Manual therapy for correction of joint mechanics and soft tissue restrictions.
Biofeedback and/or electrical stimulation to aid the exercise approach.
Self management home programs including exercise, body mechanics, and education in diet and other behavior strategies to reduce and manage symptoms.
What is the expected outcome from our treatment?
Our goal is to assist clients in self managing their condition. Each individual case may vary in time to meet specific functional goals. An average range of visits for incontinence is 4-6 visits, for pregnancy and post-delivery 4-6 visits, and for pelvic pain 6-9 visits.

Our specialized physical therapists have advanced training in the anatomy and role of the muscles and structures in and around the pelvis. These muscles work to support the bowel and bladder, stabilize posture during all activities and assist in sexual activity. Problems with these muscles can result in pain, bowel and bladder difficulties, and can interfere with intimate relations.
